Back from a hiatus!
It's already march and boy so many things have happened.
Back from China Mission Trip etc etc etc
Just had debrief for the trip last saturday (yes it was almost two months since we went), and i just wanted to reflect on the trip.
There were so many things God impressed upon my heart. God's purpose for me to go was probably to be a more dutiful sender, and a better advocate.
Prior to the China trip, i have always just kept the prayer bulletin for missions away without a second glance. I realised the importance of prayer now. The Chinese people are so hungry for prayer, during altar calls and salvation-calls, hundreds of them just move forward. Though we may feel that we are more fortunate than them to be living in prosperity, i felt the significance of the beautidudes - "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kindgom of heaven". They are so single-minded in their pursuit for God, at St John's church in China, i withnessed for myself the pure faith they have. After meeting daniel and the people in China, i know exactly what to pray for them, what are they lacking in their work, and what is the work like over there.
God's a perfect planner. On a fateful day, our trip to the village school was cancelled. We met one pastor after another and it was quite cute, they all went "let's go visit another pastor" and we began our journey to the vietname borders. Saw the work of one pastor who tried to reach out to the vietnamese. God knew that he needed missionary care (because it was too far up for pastors to visit), and he sent a bus of 27 singaporeans to go up to bless him. Feels very fortunate to be a princess of God! I know God knows what i want, and He will do anything to give it to me if its according to His will :)
God's for everyone. Jesus is not something that I wanna keep in a treasure box and deprive others from. He is precious to me, but precious things have to be shared. Sometimes, i will look onto others and wonder why they are wasting their lives, but christianity doesn't means being elitist, it means getting others to know Christ. That's what we are called to, The Great Commission is to make disciples of all nations.
